Rose married John James KNOX son of William Thomas KNOX and Lillian MONKS on 5 Nov 1915 in St Joseph's, Wellington. John was born on 23 Aug 1890 in Wellington. He died on 3 Aug 1918. John was employed as Driver.

1. Drowned when Hospital Ship he was on was torpedoed in English Channel

Memorial: WELLINGTON PROVINCIAL MEMORIAL, New Zealand. Location: The Wellington Provincial Memorial is situated in Wellington (Karori) Cemetery on Karori Road, in the north-western part of Wellington. The memorial was originally built to commemorate 65 soldiers from the Wellington Military District who died during the 1914-1918 War and who were buried at sea. The names of 20 servicemen who lost their lives during the 1939-1945 War I
